Set up your tools
Use Windows 10 or 11 with working OpenGL 3.3 support. Framework-dependent builds also need the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime.

Prepare your project
Build a compatible SM64 decomp project with its required assets.

Open. Edit. Rebuild.
Select your project in Randm64. Save your edits and rebuild to test.

Randm64 works with source projects, rather than importing compiled ROM hacks.
Will every decomp project work?+
Tool availability depends on the selected repository and its build layout. Check the project documentation for compatibility details.
